About this database. Many new gardeners who visit our Ideas for Gardens website have made contact asking for help and advice in choosing plants suitable for their location
I spotted a few best plants listings in UK Garden Magaines earlier in the year and “had an idea!” Voila! A compilation of Best Plants and Favourite plants in an Ideas Genie database.
To get things started, a few Top 100 listings have been published on the Ideas for Gardens web site, for the UK and (the approximate equivalent) USDA Zones 7/8.
For the other regions? Who better to ask than gardeners in those regions?
On line forms have been provided, and visitors are invited to nominate their own personal favourite plants, stating their hardiness zones or location.
The nominations will be sorted and compiled into this Best Plants database.
NOTE: Ideas Genie must be purchased and registered to view any database in the SWAP library. Back to SWAP Library Index
